The Invergowrie Foundation – powering potential with the provision of grants to advance the education of girls and women in Victoria.
We are a public charitable trust made possible through the McPherson Family gift of 1933.
Since 1992 we have distributed over $11 million in funds to schools, community organisations and tertiary institutions for projects and scholarships to advance the education of girls and woman in Victoria.
With a current focus on STEM education for girls we are supporting the development of a STEM Hub, Postgraduate scholarships at the University of Melbourne, projects from Deakin University – Girls as Leaders in STEM (GALS) and Swinburne University of Technology – Acorns to Oak Trees and VCE revision sessions in STEM subjects and an upper primary STEM program through the Monash Virtual School, Monash University. We are also supporting Vicphysics with their Girls in Physics breakfast program and have provided funding for research to be conducted in the girls in STEM space.
We are committed to assisting in the development of the workforce of the future through our support of girls and women pursuing careers in STEM - some of the fastest growing occupations in Australia.
